During the academic year, the Zigler Center sponsors a weekly Social Policy Lecture Series which is free and open to the public (no reservations are necessary). Speakers from academia, various levels of government, community organizations, service agencies, the business world and the media discuss their work and its policy implications.

Topics include: early childhood education, child care, intervention programs for children and families, education reform, mental health, child advocacy, child and family policies, research at the intersection of psychology and social policy, and media presentation of child and family issues, among others.
The lecture series meets Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 12: 30 p.m. during the academic year. The most current schedule is available for download in pdf format.
The Lecture Series is held in Room 116 Harkness Hall, which is located at 100 Wall St., near College St. A map of the Yale campus is available online. Parking is available at meters on the street, in the lot on Broadway (in front of the Yale Bookstore / Stiles College, or in parking garages on Grove St. - east of Church St.).
