Theodore R. Marmor continues his work on the politics of the contemporary welfare state. His policy concentration has been medical care and health, particularly in North America, within a comparative framework. He focuses on the way financing and resource allocation in medicine is affected by ideological and material issues, and, at the same time, on the divergence between the mediagenic politics of medical care and the dispersed politics of the varied policies affecting the health status of modern societies.
