John Leventhal’s research interests include the epidemiology of child maltreatment; risk factors for child abuse and neglect; prevention of child abuse and neglect; distinguishing abusive from accidental injuries; and recognition and management of behavioral problems by pediatricians. For the last five years, he has served as Editor-in-Chief of Child Abuse & Neglect, The International Journal. He also directs the Yale Child Abuse Program.
